All policies on this page went into effect on 10/16/2009. If you purchased a consignment package from Palm Tree Creative before that date, your package may have had different pages or pricing included.

Please note: Palm Tree can create a custom quote based on your needs. If you feel that none of these packages are the perfect fit for you, contact us!

The packages on the flyer only mention the first year…what happens after I pay for my website and the year is over?
After the first year is over, we typically have a conversation with the client about what they are looking for in year 2. Sometimes a client wants a brand new look and a total redesign. Some clients want some small changes to the design, but want to keep the site essentially the same. Many clients choose to keep the site the same, and continue to use their content management tools to keep the site online. Oftentimes clients sign up for maintenance plans, which allow them to pay a set monthly fee and have us perform all of their updates as needed. We will design a custom package for you based on your needs and your budget after your contract ends.

The only mandatory costs for future years are website hosting and domain name renewal, billed annually. Website hosting costs $19.99 per month and domain name renewal is $20 for the year.

I have a very small website budget…would a landing site be adequate for me?
Probably! A landing site is a great choice for a new business with a small budget. If your goal is to simply have some information about your shop available on the web, a landing site will help you meet that goal without breaking the bank. If you decide later on that you need more information on your site, we can give you a quote at that time for adding more pages.

I’m trying to decide between the Gold Package and the Platinum Package. Can you explain some of the differences between the two?

• The Gold Package contains 6 website pages, and the Platinum Package contains 8. If you anticipate that your site will contain a lot of information, the Platinum Package may be better for you.
• The Platinum Package includes 4 email newsletters during the first year, designed and delivered to your email list by Palm Tree Creative. All we need from you is the information and some photos you’d like included! This is the only plan that includes email newsletters.
• Regardless of which package you choose, we will keep a close eye on your website visitors using Google Analytics. If you choose the Platinum package, we will send you a thorough report at the end of the each month including information on how many visitors came to your site that month, how they found you, where they were from, what pages they spent the most time on, etc. If you choose the Gold Package, we can help you access the analytics through your own Google account, but you will have to run your own reports.
• The Gold Package includes 3 content management tools. This means you will be able to update and maintain 3 of the pages on your website yourself. (For example, Photos, FAQ, and What’s New?) The Platinum Package includes 4 content management tools.
• The Platinum Package includes email addresses for you and your team (ex. Yourname@yourwebsiteaddress.com). We will help you set up and use your new email address.
• The Platinum Package includes unlimited website maintenance throughout the year. This means that if you want the photos or text changed on any pages, we will do it for you at no extra cost. For busy clients, this package seems to work best. Whenever they want anything changed they just call us or email us and we make the change for them, usually within 24 hours. If you anticipate that the information on your site won’t change very often, or that you will have time to use your content management tools, the Gold Package may be adequate for you.

What if I need Palm Tree to update my site, but I didn’t choose the Platinum Package?
No problem! Simply let us know what updates you would like, and we will give you a quote before starting the work. We typically charge $90 an hour, so oftentimes text updates will cost $50 or less.
